A SUNTIED STORY

A journey of friendship, adventure, and the pursuit of effortless hair.

Suntied was born from a love of travel, spontaneity, and a desire to create something truly game-changing. What started as a friendship between two globe-trotting souls turned into a mission to make haircare simple, effective, and perfect for those who’d rather spend their time under the sun than in front of a mirror.

2015, London

Where it all began – a friendship that sparked a future.

To share our real story, we have to start years before Suntied even came into the picture. Two friends—Helton, a guy from Brazil, and Orsi, a girl from Hungary—met in London. They immediately hit it off, bonding over their love for traveling and partying. Little did they know that one day, they would start a business together.

2017, Sydney

Taking a leap of faith—and a couch!

Helton told Orsi she would love Sydney. She blindly believed him, and next thing you know, she was on a plane moving to a city she had never been to before. Exactly a year later, Helton followed and crashed on Orsi’s couch—the couch he loved so much, he ended up staying for almost two years. By this time, they had started shifting from partying to becoming fascinated by business and startups. Orsi launched a business helping people move to Australia, and both began dreaming bigger.

2018, Sydney

The Hair Struggle – Salt, sun, and struggle—finding the ultimate hair fix.

At the time, Orsi had long hair that was constantly dry, broken, and messy from the saltwater. She loved making the most of her days—jumping in the ocean, taking a quick shower, and heading straight out to catch the sunset with friends. She wasn’t one to spend hours styling her hair or using a million products. Heat-styling tools? Forget it.

2020, Bali

The Game-Changer – A trip to Bali, a scooter, and a revelation.

Orsi took the product to Bali and realized how life-changing it was. She went from beach bars to temples, hopping on and off a scooter, and her hair stayed glam the whole time. It was a revelation. Back in Australia, she scoured every beauty store—Mecca, Sephora, Priceline, Chemist Warehouse, pharmacies—testing every leave-in conditioner, detangler, repair spray, and styling cream she could find. Nothing matched the results of the Brazilian product. Brazil is famous for haircare for a reason—it’s a huge market with diversity, allowing products to be tested at scale on all hair types.

2021, Sydney

Suntied Was Born - From an idea to an Aussie-made brand.

The idea was clear: use the original formula as a base but build something new—an Australian-made, completely vegan brand. The team expanded to three, and they got to work—learning everything on the fly, from branding to business admin. There was one goal in mind: this product must become available for everyone and make their lives easier.

One of the biggest challenges was creating the brand itself—we wanted it to capture the true essence of Suntied. We had a strong vision of what we wanted, but translating it into a tangible concept and explaining it to designers was harder than we expected. Every detail, from the colors to the packaging, had to reflect the effortless, sun-kissed lifestyle that Suntied embodies.

2022, Sydney

Suntied & Friendship – Built with friends, supported by friends.

Suntied has always been about friendships—from the very beginning, when we gathered our friends for market research, to featuring them in our demonstration videos. Our girlfriends constantly share fresh ideas on how to grow the business, and they are our biggest advocates. They’ve even stepped in as models for our brand photoshoots, embodying the effortless beauty and confidence that Suntied stands for.

2022, Sydney

Life Changes – Evolving journeys, lasting partnerships.

Life continued to evolve—the third team member had other priorities and decided to step away to pursue her own business, Helton eventually moved back to Brazil, and Orsi embraced a full-time travel lifestyle, taking Suntied on the road with her. Starting a business challenges friendships like nothing else, testing patience, resilience, and vision. But through it all, Helton and Orsi came out stronger, proving that the best partnerships are built to last.

2024, Around the World

Looking Ahead – Bigger dreams, brighter horizons.

Building a brand is an adventure, and the journey is only just beginning. Suntied is growing, with new products and international expansion on the horizon. The goal? To get Suntied into the hands of girls (and guys) who’d rather be spending time under the sun than stuck in front of a mirror—all while looking effortlessly fabulous.
